The night before St. Nicholas day, the parents will setup a nice presentation of the Chocolate St. Nicholas figures, candies and toys for there children to surprise them at the next morning.

Together with the Belgium Embassy, Locolat had the unique opportunity to represent our native country, “Belgium”.
Machteld Fostier, Minister Counselor Deputy Chief of Mission of the Belgium Embassy , talked about the influence of business and tourism of Belgium. Master Chef of Belgium, Geert Piferoen and Executive Pastry Chef, Niel Piferoen, owners of Locolat, presented the Belgium exclusive cuisine.

It was another successful event, this year hosted by Locolat. Our Master Chef of Belgium, Geert Piferoen, prepared the food. Our Locolat Executive pastry chef, Niel Piferoen, prepared traditional Belgium pastries, such as Carre confiture, Almond cake ( frangipane), chocolate meringue, fresh fruit tarts, and the Locolat signature truffles.

Locolat First Exhibition at the Belgium Embassy in Washington, DC

This was our first exhibition at the Belgium Embassy on Saturday, May 12, 2007, on Embassy Row. It was the first show for Locolat LLC and was a great success. Everyone who came to our table, fell in love with our chocolate truffles and candy.

The most exciting thing is that we met so many people who love Belgian chocolate (THE BEST). Since this event, more and more people have started recognizing Locolat, Fine Belgian Chocolate and Pastries.
